Who Are We?

We are regular folks. We have families. We work. We go to school. We enjoy our neighborhood. Most of us own our homes. One of us rents -- property values are not the main issue. It's about the Wind Turbine noise.

We support:

We support energy conservation and alternative energy sources. However, the location of a Wind Turbine is critically important and must be carefully planned based on professional studies that examine the impact to people and the environment. Unbelievably, former Mayor Harger and the Village board permitted the wind turbine without any such impact studies! After trying to live next to one, it is painfully obvious to us that Wind Turbines should not be located near people's back yards.

We wish the Aldridge Electric Company continued success and we welcome its presence in our community. We believe the company made an honest business mistake (both from cost-benefit* and social responsibility perspectives) in the location of the Wind Turbine, and our hope is that the company will honorably and graciously rectify the error. *The turbine is located in USDOE Wind Class Zone 1: "Poor" Resource Potential.

We are proud of our community and we respect our elected officials. To resolve this issue, we seek the help and support of the current Mayor, Board of Trustees and you, our friends and neighbors throughout the village.
